More and more animal species in the world are threatened with extinction today and the list of species at risk of extinction is only getting longer. Conservation of endangered species is now a common task for the world's zoos. Our goal is to create increased understanding of the invaluable value of nature and biodiversity. Through research, we learn more about the animals, and it gives us greater opportunities in our work to preserve endangered animals.
Our three most important missions as a zoo are: conservation, education, and research.
