About Lycksele Zoo
Lycksele Zoo is Sweden's northernmost Zoo and specializes in Nordic animals. Lycksele Zoo was founded in 1959 by Holger Lithner. It started with a small collection of animals at Gammplatsen. The zoo moved to Brännberget in 1966, where it has developed into Norrland's largest tourist facility. The zoo is run by Lycksele municipality.
