Sheep
(Ovis aries) Gute sheep – Gotland outdoor sheep are among our unimproved Swedish native breeds. Both sexes have horns, and they have slender, relatively long legs. The Gute sheep supplied the Middle Ages with wool for wadmal (clothing), mentioned in writings from 1292.
Fjällnäs sheep – Fjällnäs sheep are white, or white with hints of grey or brown. The wool is of the rya type, varying in length and curliness, but with more underwool and shorter outer wool than the rya sheep.
