Before Your Visit

For Those Visiting Lycksele Zoo with Children

To make your stay with us at the zoo enjoyable and rewarding for both you and our other guests, we have a few things we would like you to keep in mind during your visit:

  • As a parent or leader, you are always responsible for the safety of accompanying children!
  • Talk to the children about what to do if you get separated. Perhaps agree on a meeting point (if the children are a bit older).
  • We have some areas where it’s okay to be playful, run around, and climb, for example, in the Playland and at Brum-Brum’s Farm, but we do not want anyone climbing on walls or fences near our animal enclosures. It is strictly forbidden!
  • If there is a fence, it is there for a reason, and you should not climb over it.
  • The animals here receive the food they are supposed to from the zookeepers, who know what food is best suited for each animal. Therefore, we do not want them to receive anything from our visitors. So, please do not feed the animals!

General Rules

Out of respect for both animals and people, and for everyone’s safety, we ask that you observe the following:

  • Grilling and open fires are prohibited throughout the zoo, except in designated areas.
  • Pets are not allowed inside the zoo.
  • Sound systems, rollerblades, skateboards, kickboards, and bicycles are not permitted in the zoo.

We hope you have a pleasant stay with us!
